Wednesday (Colossians 1: 12-20) To God the Father let us give our thanks For having made us worthy in His sight That now the members of the Church on earth Are sharing in the lot of saints in light. From pow’r of darkness God has rescued us To bring us to the realm of His loved Son. Through Christ we have redemption of our lives; The full forgiveness of our sins He won. Christ is the image of the unseen God, The first-born of the whole creation, He; In Christ, the whole of heav’n and earth were made, Things seen and unseen brought by Christ to be! All these were made through Christ And for Him all creation came to light; He is before all else that came to be, All things have being through His pow’r and might. This Christ is of the Church, His body, head! For He is its beginning and its source, The first-born of the dead, that His might be The primacy in ev’ry way and course. In Christ has God made fullness to reside; By means of Him, God reconciled the world, Both heaven and earth, by blood upon the cross; Thus making peace God’s banner now unfurled. To God the Father, all creation’s Source, To God the Son, who came to earth from heav’n above, To God the Spirit, filling all with grace, Our Triune God, we raise our songs in love. 10.10.10.10 suggested tune: Sursum Corda
