Monday (Ephesians 1: 3-10)

Let us praise the God and Father
Of Christ Jesus, living Lord,
Who bestowed on us in Jesus
Ev’ry blessing heav’n affords.
In Christ Jesus, God has chosen,
Picked us ere the world began
To be holy, to be blameless
In God’s sight, part of his plan.

God predestined us in Jesus—
In his pleasure and his will,
That we each might be adopted
Heirs of grace, his children still.
This was done that we might honor
God’s most gracious favor, shown
Unto us, his chosen people,
Through the Christ, in whom God’s known.

Through his blood, we have been bought back,
Through his love, we are forgiv’n,
So immense is God’s great favor,
Washed and cleansed from ev’ry sin.
God has given us the wisdom
This great mystery to see,
This his plan of great salvation
Which he did, in Christ, decree.


When the time was come in fullness,
This great plan was carried out
In Christ Jesus, God’s own chosen:
Fullest praises let us shout!
For in him are all things earthly
And those heavenly as well
Brought to union and completion.
God’s great mercies let us tell!
